Iron Infusion (August 16, 2024)

This morning, Ali had an appointment at 11:00 AM for an iron infusion. This was originally scheduled for yesterday but had to be postponed due to time constraints, so we found ourselves back at the hospital today. The procedure itself took about 90 minutes, followed by a 30 minute observation period to ensure everything went smoothly. Thankfully, it did. This infusion should help boost Ali’s energy levels since her iron tends to run low.

At the moment, Ali still has her 46 hour take home chemotherapy treatment hooked up. We’ll be removing that tomorrow night. So far, she’s experienced some nausea, but it’s not as severe as what she went through during her last take home chemotherapy treatment two weeks ago.
