H. Pylori Breath Test (July 10, 2024)

This morning, Ali underwent an H. Pylori breath test to determine if the H. Pylori infection detected in her abdomen during the Colonoscopy and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) performed in May 2024 has been cured.

The H. Pylori breath test was easy and took about an hour. Ali fasted overnight, then at the appointment, she blew into a bag for an initial breath sample. After that, she drank a urea solution. About 30 minutes later, she blew into another bag. The whole process was straightforward and done within an hour.

We are currently awaiting the results, hoping they confirm that the infection has been cleared. A clear result will allow us to eliminate one significant concern from our list.
